Chubb Introduces Electronic Signatures for 10 Products
WARREN, NJ, January 23, 2006 -Applications for professional and management liability insurance products from the Chubb Group
of Insurance Companies can now be submitted entirely on-line with an electronic signature. Previously, Chubb's eApplications
required a "wet" signature before a policy could be bound.
"The launch of our new electronic signature capability is another step in making it even easier to do business with Chubb.
We've now eliminated the need to send a signed hard copy of the application through the mail," said Judy Cook, vice president,
Chubb & Son, and e-business manager, Chubb Specialty Insurance. "Our policy application process for these products is now
completely electronic-an integral component of our expanding e-commerce capabilities. This important advancement will help
speed up the application process for our customers, agents and brokers."
Chubb's eApplications are available at www.chubb.com for 10 professional and management liability products. eApplications for six additional professional and management liability
products will be added in April 2006. No password or user ID is required to access the electronic applications, which can
be completed and saved on the agent's, broker's or customer's desktop and emailed to Chubb for a quote.
"Strengthening Chubb's electronic capabilities is a top priority," said Kathleen Tierney, senior vice president, Chubb & Son,
and director of strategic marketing, Chubb Specialty Insurance. "The introduction of electronic signatures is the direct
result of feedback from our agents, brokers and customers. We've delivered on our promise and remain committed to building
further enhancements that will streamline the business process."
The member insurers of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies form a multi-billion dollar organization providing property
and casualty insurance for personal and commercial customers worldwide through 8,000 independent agents and brokers. Chubb's
global network includes branches and affiliates throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
