Manager Receives Outstanding Asian American in Business Award
WARREN, NJ, June 11, 2009-- The Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) honored Jeffrey B. Yao, a vice president with the Chubb Group of
Insurance Companies, for his contributions as an Asian American business professional. Yao received his award at the 8th
Annual Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business dinner in New York last night.
Yao currently manages Chubb's directors and officers and employment practices liability claim departments located in Simsbury,
CT. Since 2008, he also has managed the company's Specialty Claims Service branch. Prior to joining Chubb in 1998, he practiced
corporate law.
Yao serves as vice chair of Chubb's Asian American Business Network, an employee resource group that helps to attract, develop
and retain Asian American talent and business. He participates as a mentor in Chubb's Claim Diversity Council and is a former
board member of Chubb's Minority Development Council. Yao received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School
of Law and bachelor's degree from Washington and Jefferson College.
