Patrick R. Gareis,
Patrick R. Gareis is an Attorney in the Chicago House Counsel firm of Schueler, Dallavo & Casieri. Prior to joining Chubb’s House Counsel, Mr. Gareis was in private practice handling litigation matters, estates and environmental cases. He is an adjunct professor at the College of DuPage, teaching Constitutional Law at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy. Prior to that, he spent nineteen years handling large subrogation matters from the early investigative stages through resolution. He has worked cases throughout the United States and litigated in both federal and state courts in over a dozen states. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Gareis spent almost ten years as a prosecutor in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, finishing his career as a First Chair in the Felony Trial Division, where he handled major felony offenses. Mr. Gareis has specific experience handling large property subrogation cases and working complex loss scene investigations as well as working in tandem with experts in many disciplines.
