Chubb and Bermuda College formed a partnership in 2008 with the goal of helping students understand the connection between their studies and the workplace. One component of this partnership is the Bermuda College Education Award, offered annually to a qualified graduate of Bermuda College. The Bermuda College Education Award is funded by the Chubb Charitable Foundation - Bermuda.
The Bermuda College Education Award is offered to suitably qualified graduates of Bermuda College enrolled in at least the third (junior) year of a 4-year (or a second year of 3-year UK) degree program at an accredited university. The Education Award of $15,000 per year covers tuition and fees for up to two years immediately following Bermuda College graduation.
The Selection Committee will base its decision on the financial need, academic achievements and aptitude of applicants. The Committee reserves the right to withdraw the Award in the event of unsatisfactory work or conduct. In order to be considered for the second portion of the award, students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale or equivalent in a UK program. Transcripts must be submitted to the selection committee before further disbursement of funds. An interim transcript is acceptable for the initial application.
