Our employees make time for their community – we support that.

Chubb encourages the development of local and regional initiatives, which reflect our employees’ commitment to the needs of the communities in which they live and work. The Chubb Charitable Foundation – Bermuda encourages Chubb employees to support the community through the following programmes:

Matching Gifts

The Foundation’s Matching Gift Programme matches up to $20,000 of employees’ personal donations to recognized charities around the world per year.

Gift for Time

The Gift for Time Programme supports employee volunteerism by donating funds to charities where Chubb employees have volunteered their time. $1,000 is awarded to a charity where an employee volunteers for 50 hours or more. $500 is awarded to any charity where an employee has volunteered a minimum of 25 hours a year. A smaller grant of $200 can also be awarded to a charity where an employee has volunteered for more than 10 hours during the year.

Employee Volunteering

The Employee Volunteer Programme was launched in June 2007 to commemorate the Foundation's 10th anniversary of supporting the Bermuda community. It is designed to support employees’ volunteer pursuits by enabling them to spend one work day per year participating in community volunteer projects.

Chubb Global Day of Service

Chubb continues its commitment to the Bermuda community. In October 2015, 138 employees in Bermuda participated in 9 community service projects across the Island during Chubb’s Global Day of Service. Around the world over 6,000 Chubb employees in 50 countries participated in 250 volunteer projects focused on education, poverty and heath and the environment. Employees gave more than 25,000 hours to the communities where they live and work.
