This report meets the requirements of the Canadian Federal Government as outlined in section 489.1 of the Insurance Companies Act, and the Public Accountability Statements (Banks, Insurance Companies, Trust and Loan Companies) Regulations. It contains information pertaining to the 2023 fiscal year

( January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023), for Chubb Insurance Company of Canada (“CICC”) and its affiliate companies (collectively, “Chubb Canada”). All dollar amounts are expressed in Canadian currency.

Community Development & Participation

Chubb Canada is committed to positively influencing the communities in which its employees work and live. In 2023, Chubb Canada donated $163,330 to charitable organizations.

Matching Gift Program

Chubb Canada is committed to positively influencing the communities in which its employees work and live. In 2023, Chubb Canada donated $163,330 to charitable organizations.

United Way Campaign

Chubb Canada actively supports the United Way through an annual campaign in each of our offices across Canada. As part of the United Way campaign, over $224,732 was raised, including $74,911 donated by Chubb Canada as part of the Matching Gift program.

Other Charitable Donations

Chubb Canada actively supports other eligible community, environmental, health, human services, educational and cultural nonprofit charities that meet its community development goals. As part of these efforts, Chubb Canada donated $73,830 771 to various charitable organizations.

Taxes Paid

In 2023, Chubb Canada paid $65.5 million in federal income tax, $49.4 million provincial income taxes, and $74.9 million in provincial premium taxes.  Collectively, Chubb Canada paid $189.9 million in taxes for 2023.
