Jewellery Collection

We cover most causes of loss, like a broken link in your bracelet, damage to your watch face or your engagement ring that goes missing while on a trip – all with no deductible. Let us help protect the special things you’ve acquired over the years.

  • The market value of each piece of fine jewellery in your collection is determined from the start. In the event of a total covered loss, you will receive 100% of the insured value, with no excess or depreciation.
  • Worldwide cover for physical loss or damage to your jewellery no matter where you go or how long you stay.
  • Option to receive cash settlement in the event of irreparable damage or loss to your jewellery.
  • If one piece of a pair or set is lost or damaged beyond repair, you can simply choose to hand in the remaining piece(s) and we will pay the full replacement cost for the entire pair or set.
  • If an itemised piece is damaged, we will not only pay to repair it, but also compensate for any loss in market value as a result of the damage.
  • Immediate cover for newly purchased jewellery within 90 days notification, up to 25% of the existing itemised amount, subject to a maximum of S$100,000.

Prior to leaving for the United Kingdom (UK) for her holiday, our Insured had packed her engagement and wedding rings in a pouch and tucked in a compartment of her travel backpack. 

 

Upon arrival in the UK, she realised that the pouch containing the rings were missing from her backpack. She was also unable to locate the pouch when she returned home in Singapore. 

 

Chubb paid S$41,066 for replacement of the rings.

Our Insured wore her diamond bracelet to the office and visited a hair salon after work. She noticed that her bracelet was missing after she returned home in a taxi. 

 

She searched her house and workplace, and contacted the hair salon and taxi company but could not locate the item. 

 

Chubb paid S$16,155 for the replacement of the diamond bracelet.

Our Insured realised that she had lost her diamond ring when she was out shopping. She recalled last seeing it before she entered the train station and believed it might have fallen off her finger when she was retrieving her EZ-Link card from her purse. 

 

Chubb paid S$11,400 for the replacement of the diamond ring.

Our Insured recalled putting on her bracelet before leaving her home for work. Her home security video footage confirmed that she was wearing it when she left home.  She then took a bus and train to work but noticed it was missing upon reaching the office. 

 

Chubb paid S$11,000 for the replacement of the bracelet.
