Non-Panel Incident Response Service Providers & Vendors Program
Non-Panel Incident Response Service Providers
For policyholders who use companies not currently members of the ChubbCyber Incident Response Team (aka “non-panel providers”), we offer the flexibility to add them to your cyber policy as approved providers.
HOW TO ADD A PROVIDER
How to request a non-panel cyber incident response service provider
Non-panel providers must be listed on your cyber policy before the occurrence of any incident or claim that is or may be reported under the policy.
Notify your agent or broker as soon as you’re aware you want to add the provider(s) to your policy.
Provide your agent/broker with the name of your requested non-panel provider, along with a brief description of the service to be provided (e.g., forensics, response coaching, etc.).
Your agent or broker will contact Chubb and request that the non-panel provider be added to your cyber policy.
Chubb will then process requests for further consideration, based on whether the provider is a new or existing non-panel provider.
New non-panel service providers
If the provider is new to Chubb, we (or your agent/broker) will send them a link to complete an online questionnaire.
The completed information will be sent to Chubb to be evaluated for approval. In some cases, we may contact the provider with additional questions.
Chubb will share the evaluation findings with your agent or broker, who will then discuss the decision directly with you, the policyholder.
Non-Panel Providers should not contact Chubb directly regarding their approval status.
Existing non-panel service providers
If the provider has been previously approved by Chubb, your underwriter will simply process the change to your policy.
Typically, unless otherwise instructed by Chubb, the provider will not need to complete another questionnaire.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
What policyholders and non-panel service providers should know
Consult with your agent or broker before requesting that providers be included in your program.
Approval of your requested non-panel provider is not automatic, as there is a formal evaluation process.
Non-panel providers must be listed on your cyber policy before the occurrence of any incident or claim that is or may be reported under the policy.
Non-panel providers must adhere to the terms of the policy and abide by any rules and rates established during the approval process.
Approval as a non-panel provider does not mean that the provider is a pre-approved partner on Chubb’s Cyber Incident Response Team.
If there’s an opportunity to join the Chubb Cyber Incident Response Team, we will initiate contact. Non-panel providers should not contact Chubb directly regarding their approval status for your policy or solicit us to be included on our Cyber Incident Response Team.
