The Government has announced the revision of the service tax rate from 6% to 8% effective 1 March 2024. The service tax rate for insurance services will be revised accordingly once the order is gazetted by the Government.
There will be no changes to the service tax rate for insurance policies bought and paid in full prior to 1 March 2024.
Chubb reserves the right to collect the revised rate of service tax due on policy premium for the coverage portion after 1 March 2024, if required.
