Anti-Bribery and Corruption Statement

Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad ("Company" / "Chubb") is fully committed to conducting business with the highest standards of integrity. In line with this commitment, Chubb maintains a zero appetite and zero tolerance approach towards all forms of bribery and corruption activities or behaviors. The Company adheres to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as well as the UK Bribery Act.

To ensure the fulfillment of this commitment, Chubb has implemented a comprehensive Anti-Corruption Framework, encompassing policies, procedures, pre-approval processes, risk assessments, mitigating controls, due diligence on third parties and associated individuals, and an employee training program. Chubb is guided by the T.R.U.S.T principles of the Malaysia Prime Minister’s Office – Guidelines on Adequate Procedures:

  • Undertake control measures
  • Systematic review, monitoring, and enforcement
  • Training and communication

Chubb's Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy sets forth the guiding principles that govern the Company's approach to managing and addressing bribery and corruption risks in its operations, both internally and externally. Compliance with this policy is mandatory, and all directors and employees of Chubb are required to strictly adhere to the following principles:

  • Prohibition of giving or receiving bribes or engaging in any form of bribery and corruption in business dealings.
  • Ensuring that the engagement of third parties and associated individuals, as well as interactions with customers and said parties, are not conducted for the purpose of obtaining or retaining business, gaining an unfair advantage, influencing governmental or regulatory decisions for Chubb, or personal gain.
  • Strict prohibition of offering or accepting gifts, entertainment, donations, sponsorships, or any other form of inducement, whether directly or indirectly, with the intention to bribe or gain an advantage in business or personal circumstances.
  • Prohibition of actual or potential conflicts of interest that may present bribery and corruption risks to Chubb.
  • Strict prohibition on facilitation payments made by directors, employees, and associated persons. Associated persons providing services on behalf of or for Chubb are also expected to adhere to these principles when applicable.
