What is equipment breakdown coverage?
Your homeowner’s policy wasn’t designed to cover home equipment or appliances that are damaged or stop working. While Equipment Breakdown coverage doesn't cover the normal "wear and tear" of equipment, it is designed to pay for the repair or replacement of damaged home appliances or equipment like an HVAC system, electrical system or kitchen range, without depreciation. You’re eligible for this coverage if you have a Masterpiece® Homeowners, Condominium, or Co-op policy, or if you have more than one home or want to protect a separate home office building or barn.
Chubb Equipment Breakdown Coverage Options

— Your protection also extends to home equipment like personal computers, portable humidifiers, small countertop appliances, and more.
