As you begin the process of wrapping up the year, I hope you take the time to reflect on the important role you play in protecting New Zealanders and the things that matter most to them.
Despite economic challenges globally and election uncertainty locally, it’s been pleasing to see that there’s been continued growth across the industry.
Thanks to your efforts, New Zealanders are still seeing the value of having the right cover for their needs.
Since our rebrand in March, Chubb Life’ “A life’s work” marketing campaign has reached millions of New Zealanders with a strong message about the importance of life insurance.
We’ve also been proud to have delivered more ways to help you help your customers get protected through our new product, benefit and campaign offerings.
It’s been incredibly encouraging to hear your feedback about the positive impact these are having on your customer conversations.
As you’ll be aware we’ve now moved all our systems over to Chubb. We’re delighted to have everything working well and will be continuing to make technology enhancements to improve the ways we’re able to do business with you.
It’s with mixed emotions we’ll be saying farewell to David Haak (Haakie). After three years of services, he’ll be stepping down from his role as General Manager - Distribution in March 2023.
Originally joining as a consultant for three months, Haakie made the decision to stay on and has been an invaluable member of our leadership team ever since. He’s significantly contributed to our success, drawing on his 30-plus years of industry experience to help firmly establish our business as a mainstream provider of life insurance.
Under his leadership, we've seen substantial growth in the business we do with you all - a major contributor to us having a 15% market share of new business last quarter.
While we'll miss him, we wholeheartedly support his decision and wish him the very best as he moves his focus to Governance roles.
The search for a successor to fill the General Manager – Distribution role will begin soon. In the interim, we’ll be working closely with Haakie to ensure smooth transition over the next three months.
Finally, on behalf of the whole team at Chubb Life I’d like to thank you for your partnership and how much we’re looking forward to continuing our work together in 2024.
