1. The Chubb Life Support Person of the Year Awards 2024 ("the Awards”) is organised and sponsored by Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited (“Chubb Life”).
2. Nominations for the Awards open on 9 May 2024 and close on 24 May 2024 (“Nomination Period”).
3. Nominations can be made by a person or entity who is:
a. An independent financial adviser with a current Distribution Agreement with Chubb Life (“IFA”);
b. An employee or contractor of the IFA;
c. Not an immediate family member of the Support Person;
d. Not Chubb Life staff or a member of their immediate family; and
(“Nominator”)
4. A Nominator may only make one nomination during the Nomination Period.
5. A Nominator may not nominate themselves for the Awards.
6. A support person is any person who is an employee or contractor of the IFA whose primary role is to provide administrative support their employer in connection with the provision of services under the IFA’s Distribution Agreement with Chubb Life (“Support Person”). For the avoidance of doubt, a Support Person excludes people who provide financial advice to customers.
7. Nominations of a Support Person may be made by a Nominator through an online portal made available to the IFA by Chubb Life through the Chubb Life 9 May 2024 Adviser Newsletter.
8. There are three prizes available to be won in the Awards (“Prizes”):
a. one $1,000 Prezzy Card (“First Prize”)
b. one $500 Prezzy Card (“Second Prize”) and
c. one $300 Prezzy Card (“Third Prize”)
9. A panel of judges elected by Chubb Life (“Judges”) will assess all valid nominations made within the Nomination Period and shall use their absolute discretion to decide on a nominated Support Person to win each Prize (“the Winners”).
10. The decisions of the Judges and Chubb Life on all matters relating to the Awards are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. Chubb Life will use all reasonable efforts to contact the IFA to notify them if their Support Person is one of the Winners. It is the responsibility of the IFA to subsequently inform the Support Person that they are a Winner.
13. Chubb Life will use all reasonable efforts to obtain the Winners’ contact details from the IFA in order to electronically deliver the First Prize to the Winner’s personal email addresses.
14. The Prizes will be ordered and couriered directly from Epay New Zealand.
15. If for any reason Chubb Life is unable contact any of the Winners or their IFA, Chubb Life reserves the right to award any of the Prizes to any other nominated Support Person.
16. The Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, and cannot be taken for cash.
17. By claiming a Prize, the Winners and IFA agree to Chubb Life contacting them to request their permission to make use of their names and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by Chubb Life.
18. To the extent permitted by law, Chubb Life will not be liable for any costs, expenses, damage or injury which any Nominator, IFA or the Winner may suffer or incur.
19. Chubb Life reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the terms and conditions of the Awards at any time.
20. Chubb Life assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive a nomination by a Nominator as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem of any kind. Nominations are deemed to have been received by Chubb Life at the time of receipt of transmission into Chubb Life’s database, not the time of transmission by the Nominator.
21. Except to the extent prohibited by law, Chubb Life makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prizes.
22. Chubb Life will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Awards or accepting or using any Prize by any recipient, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
