Meaders & Alfaro: Our Attorneys

Mr. Meaders's trial practice includes defense of all types of casualty liability cases and some specialty cases including premises liability, products liability, commercial litigation, professional negligence, contractual business disputes and large scale liability cases.

Sonia Alfaro is an attorney in the Employment Practice Group. Ms. Alfaro has experience in litigating a wide range of employment matters, including claims arising under Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the American with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, National Labor Relations Act, as well as other federal and state laws.

Yanice Colon-Pol is an attorney in the Employment Practice Group. Ms. Colon-Pol currently defends clients in a wide range of employment matters, including claims arising under Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the American with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, National Labor Relations Act, as well as other federal and state laws.

Reuben Rios is an attorney in the Casualty Practice Group.  Mr. Rios has successfully defended clients in the areas of D.T.P.A., medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, automobile liability and first party liability. Mr. Rios currently defends all types of casualty liability cases including premises liability, products liability and automobile liability.

Edward M. Ordonez is an Attorney in the Subrogation Practice Group. He has represented clients on matters involving construction litigation, products liability, trucking and transportation, subrogation and recovery, premises liability, employer liability, public accommodation, discrimination and litigation arising from contractual disputes.

Keith Jefferson is a Lead Casualty Attorney in the General Liability & Casualty Practice Group of the Houston House Counsel firm of Meaders & Alfaro. Prior to joining Chubb, Keith was Senior Trial Attorney with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Trial Division and was an Associate Attorney in a Houston civil litigation firm prior to his time with Nationwide.

Michelle Mishoe Miller is an Attorney in the Financial Lines Practice Group of the Texas House Counsel firm of Meaders & Alfaro.  Prior to joining Chubb’s House Counsel, Ms. Miller practiced at Jackson Walker, LLP, a Tier 1 nationally ranked law firm, defending employment-related claims.

Alex Gette is an Attorney in the Subrogation Practice Group of Meaders & Alfaro. Prior to joining Meaders & Alfaro, Alex worked as a contract attorney for Meaders & Alfaro representing Chubb-insureds in all manner of casualty matters involving product liability, premises liability, as well as motor vehicle and trucking accidents.

Carrie Garcia Sanders has joined the Casualty Practice Group of the House Counsel firm of Meaders & Alfaro in the Dallas Office.  Prior to joining Chubb’s House Counsel, Mrs. Garcia Sanders practiced insurance defense including auto transportation, premises and medical malpractice at both in house counsel offices and private firms.

Kaitlyn T. O’Hara has joined the Casualty Practice Group of the House Counsel firm of Meaders & Alfaro in the Dallas Office.  Prior to joining Chubb’s House Counsel, Kaitlyn represented clients in a range of personal and commercial automobile cases, often involving severe injuries.

Courtney Graham joined the Casualty Practice Group of the House Counsel firm of Meaders & Alfaro in the Houston Office in October of 2023.  Courtney started her legal career litigating for the City of New York Administration for Children’s Services, where she spent 10 years prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases in Manhattan and The Bronx.  She successfully prosecuted hundreds of cases including winning a number of emergency motions before the Appellate Division.  She relocated to Houston in 2014, where she practiced insurance defense at two different House Counsel offices for well-known insurance companies prior to joining Chubb’s House Counsel.   Courtney currently litigates a wide range of cases including premises liability, products liability, and automobile liability.
